Summary of Role:
To deliver a major E, C & I project for a Water industry client. As the project has developed a role has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to support the existing Project Management team in ensuring that integrated management control processes, primarily covering quality but also health & safety, security and environment aspects are correctly applied. The Project Management team are managing and delivering a wide variety of technologies, including SCADA, PLC, Telemetry, Instrumentation and Electrical Packages through several different contracts. This role will include travel to customer sites. The successful candidate will report to the Project Director, and will liaise closely with the Company Quality Manager and the Health and Safety Manager.
Role Description:
This role shall involve providing support, monitoring and assistance to the project, ensuring that the following key processes are fulfilled
- Configuration control and management
- Verification and Validation activities
- Documentation and Record control and maintenance
The successful candidate shall be required to participate in and endorse the following
- Project quality plans, standards and procedures
- Project audit programmes
- Corrective and preventive action programmes
- System releases approvals
- Gateway technical and test review and approval
- Validation records review, sign off and approval
Essential Requirements:
- Educated at least to degree level in relevant subject or HND with additional experience as defined in this specification
- To be a member of the Chartered Quality Institute and ideally to have embarked upon Professional accreditation
- Excellent communicator at all levels
- Current driving licence
- Must be prepared to travel, with some stays away at customer sites
